Warehouse Manager

Warehouse Managers are responsible for directing and supervising the daily activities of a team of Warehouse Associates ensuring that employees perform duties with a high degree of safety, service and quality. Responsibilities include:

·         Interfaces with Anixter business partners, including daily direct customer contact.

·         Ensures transactional responsibilities of the facility are achieved to ensure 100% service level per customer.

·         Provides training, guidance, development and counseling as needed to each team member.

·         Ensures the facility is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures on a day-to-day basis.

·         Oversees all aspects of a single warehouse facility including the service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members.

·         Ensures inventory accuracy by directing regular, complete and accurate cycle counting within facility.

·         Maintains excellent condition of the facility which includes monitoring space lay out to ensure efficient space utilization.

·         Ensures customer concerns are solved effectively and promptly.

·         Ensures smooth operational effectiveness of warehouse center staff.

·         Provides a safe working environment and aggressively manage all risk and risk related costs.

Skills You Bring To The Table:

·         Outstanding background in leadership within the areas of distribution, transportation, operations, sales or supply chain management with strength in improving efficiencies.

·         Self starter with the ability to multi task in a fast pace environment in order to manage the inventory as well the needs of the facility.

*   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*   Flexible, easily adaptable to change and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
*   Experience using Microsoft Office and database knowledge

Basic Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED

·         3 years of experience in distribution, transportation, operations, sales or supply chain management

·         2 years of supervisory or management experience

·         Forklift experience

·         Ability to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications

·         Bachelors Degree
